Author's Notes: I took several of your suggestions here, and tried to roll them together in my first attempt at experimental fic. I'll hope you'll forgive me if it's not what you're used to, but I had quite a lot of fun writing it! I hope you'll also forgive my use of switching names, though I tried to keep it minimal. Not switching at *all* went against everything I was taught in school, but most of the switching here has to do with who's speaking and perspective and internal struggles, so I hope you'll forgive me that. I also MUST thank my beta, 'P', forr without her the smut would be nearly non-existent.

After a long lingering look, Harry turned and left. Snape cursed quietly and binned the abandoned vial.

It only took a week of Potter avoiding him to regret his words, and a month to admit he'd made a mistake - to himself, at least.

He couldn't outright ask what the brat was up to, but then he didn't need to: the Daily Prophet took care of that. Boy Who Lives 'Kept' By Quidditch Keeper! was emblazoned over a photo of Potter thoroughly snogging a bloke in Quidditch gear.

Snape snarled and binned the atrocity, before stalking down to his lab. In his experience Potions could solve just about anything. Surely he could concoct something to win back Potter!
